Steal An Egg Rifts Are Opening - Update 3 Event Guide
Light vs Darkness is LIVE: Pick A Side, ring milestones, the Luminous Egg shop and the Angels & Demons index tab, all read off launch day.
Rifts Are Opening is the next Steal An Egg update, and it is the first one the developer announced before shipping it. The official Roblox event page went up reading “RIFTS ARE OPENING…” with the sub-line “Rifts have begun to open”, scheduled for Saturday, Sep 5, 6:00 PM through Sunday, Sep 6, 6:00 PM, and the game’s own Discord announcement pairs the update with a third Admin Abuse event under the title “Update 3 & Admin Abuse”. This guide collects every fact that is actually on the record — each one read off a screen and dated — separates them from the leaks, and now carries the live readings too: the rift’s sacrifice roster, its three eggs with full odds, and the Boss Battle Event, verified off Sep 8 gameplay, re-verified across five more videos on Sep 9, reconciled once more against four additional captures uploaded Sep 6-9 — the round that caught the Riftborn table being retuned under everyone’s feet — and now extended with three further videos: the round that caught a live rotation reset and corrected our own slot-pet attribution the same day — a fifth sweep of three more videos plus one leak capture: the round that found the retuned 45% slot reading $11K/s again (session-variable), a Trail Shop standing in the lobby, and a pre-release build of the next update’s “Light vs Darkness”, labeled as a leak — and now a sixth round of four more videos plus the developer’s own trailer: the round that pulled Light vs Darkness out of leak territory with an official in-game event page dating it Sep 13-14, walked the sacrifice roster to 28 species, and read the Boss Tokens purse at a five-figure 17,400 — and now a seventh round on launch day itself: this page went live at the same hour the event did, so the readings below are from Sep 13 screens, not promises — extended once more on Sep 15 with the post-launch record (the Angels biome, the fusion charts and a labeled Heaven leak).
What Is Actually Announced
Everything in this section is read directly from official surfaces — the Roblox event page, the Roblox game page, and the game’s official Discord announcement channel — verified letter by letter from screens captured on Sep 3, 2026.
The Roblox event page carries the name, the window, and the teaser text. The headline reads “RIFTS ARE OPENING…”, tagged as new content, with the sub-line “Rifts have begun to open” and the window “Sat, Sep 5, 6:00 PM - Sun, Sep 6, 6:00 PM”. The event page shows 6.1M interested players. The official description reads, verbatim:
⚠ RIFTS ARE OPENING… ⚠
Strange Rifts have begun tearing open across the world.
Nobody knows where they lead. Nobody knows what’s waiting inside.
Those who get too close report hearing strange sounds from within… Growls. Screeches. Something moving on the other side.
But the one rumor that keeps spreading… Those who enter are never seen again.
It closes with the line ”🌀 THE RIFT EVENT IS COMING. 🌀” — the developer’s own framing that this is a rift event, not a standard content drop.
The rumor line is a late addition, and it is verified. Our first capture on Sep 3 ended at “Something moving on the other side.” Re-captures across Sep 4-5 — in two independent videos, zoomed letter by letter — show the description now closing with “But the one rumor that keeps spreading… Those who enter are never seen again.” The same line appears in the page’s Spanish localization (“Pero el único rumor que sigue circulando… Es que los que entran nunca más se les…”), so it is a deliberate edit to the official text, not a rendering artifact. It is also the closest thing to a content hint the developer has published: whatever is inside the rifts, the framing is disappearance.
The interest counter climbed on camera while the event approached: 6.1M interested on Sep 3, 7.2M by Sep 4-5, and 8.2M (“8.2M Personas interesadas”) in a Sep 5-6 capture — a 34% jump across the final three days before the window opened.
The event’s hero image is the rift itself: a purple crystalline shard structure standing in the game field. That is official key art, not a leak — it is the image Roblox serves on the event page, and the first look at the rift’s actual in-world model.
The window renders differently by viewer locale, and all three forms we captured are the same instant: “Sat, Sep 5, 6:00 PM - Sun, Sep 6, 6:00 PM” (English capture), a localized 10:00 PM rendering on Sep 5, and “sáb, 5 sept, 17:00 - dom, 6 sept, 17:00” in the Spanish capture. Treat the event page’s own form as canonical and expect your client to localize it.
The official Discord announcement, posted September 1, reads “@Announcements ⚠ RIFTS ARE OPENING… ⚠ / Get alerts for our 3rd Admin Abuse & Update here!” and links the Roblox event. The Discord event itself is titled “Update 3 & Admin Abuse”, scheduled Sun Sep 6th · 01:00 with 7,164 interested. Two facts fall out of that title: the community numbering calls this Update 3, and it ships together with the game’s third Admin Abuse event — the limited windows where the admins descend on servers and cause chaos (past events ran under banners like “Ben ✔ started ADMIN ABUSE! — The admins are raining chaos from the sky!”).
What the Game Page Shows
The Roblox game page itself confirms the event is real and dated. Its Events section lists “Sun, Sep 6, 1:00 AM” with the same “RIFTS ARE OPENING…” card and a Notify Me button — that timestamp is the same instant as the event window, shown in the viewer’s local time zone, so treat the event page’s Sep 5, 6:00 PM – Sep 6, 6:00 PM window as the canonical form and expect your own client to localize it.
The same page, read on Sep 3, shows a game with real momentum behind this update: 1M+ likes against 70K+ dislikes, and 12 hours 36 minutes played across the past day. The current game thumbnail is pure marketing — rainbow letters reading “TREX EGG $89,121Sp/s” — and we are recording it as exactly that, a promotional claim on the game’s own art, not a verified income figure. If a Sp-scale egg actually arrives with the update, we will verify it the way we verify everything: on screen, in game, letter by letter.
The Trade UI Leak, Clearly Labeled
A leaked screenshot making the rounds shows a trading interface: two panels labeled “Your Offer” and “Their Offer”, each with a READY! flag, Cancel and Ready! buttons, a search bar, and the footer “Countdown starts when both players are Ready!”. It is a plausible design and the first trade-system pixels we have seen — and it is still a leak, not an announcement. No official source confirms trading ships with Update 3 or any other version. We are logging it as unverified so you know it exists, and we will say so the moment it is confirmed on a live screen.
One announcement-track data point now circles the same topic. A Discord screenshot captured in a Sep 9 upload — a ”#📣 | updates” channel, posted by a blue-checkmarked account reading “Utiliy (@utilisateur1lbg2) ✔”, dated 16/08/2026 — reads, verbatim: “Everyone, gifting was disabled from the game and will either come back soon or instead trading .” followed by “We are working on a powerful anti cheat that should be published soon,” and “We are also working on Admin abuse for the next wee…” (the last line’s tail sits under the video’s caption overlay and stays truncated). We cannot confirm a server’s authenticity from a screenshot inside someone else’s video, so this is published as attributed context, not game data — but note it points the same direction as the leak above: gifting paused, trading as the alternative under consideration. No invite links are published with it.
Light vs Darkness: Now on an Official Event Page
The next event is officially announced. A capture from a Sep 9 upload shows the game’s own in-game event page, read letter-exact: the banner ”🌟 LIGHT VS DARKNESS 🔥”, the tagline “The skies are changing…”, the window “Sun, Sep 13, 1:00 AM - Mon, Sep 14, 1:00 AM”, an “11.9M Interested” counter, a Notify Me button, the blurb “Something is fighting for control… THE BATTLE BEGINS SOON.”, a NEW BIOME card showing the two sides in one split image, and a “Hosted By” line. That is announcement-level, the same tier as the Roblox event pages quoted above — and its date supersedes the “Sat, Sep 12 at 8:00 AM” that circulated on the leak build: treat Sep 13-14 as the announced window and expect your client to localize it, as with every event page.
Leak-footage of the event’s biomes has also surfaced — one freshly mined upload shows a red volcanic castle under a darkening sky and a purple crystal spire mid-eruption. Spectacular, and still leak-level footage: published here as attributed prose only, never merged into our live data.
Live Now: Launch-Day Readings (Sep 13)
The event shipped on schedule, and launch-day screens answer most of what the announcement left open — every line below is two-pass letter-exact off Sep 13 gameplay unless marked otherwise.
- Pick A Side, then fly. The event opens on a Pick A Side screen: “Light Team” on a gold bar against “Dark Team” on a red bar. Your pick puts you in the sky with white wings, collecting rings for your side — a “Rings Collected” counter sits on the right (read at 214-258 mid-flight) feeding milestone pills at 100 / 800 / 1500, each with its own reward icon. A “Your Team” bar carries a countdown that read between 2:00 and 2:19 across captures.
- No official score published — by us, deliberately. The Light/Dark score digits were crossed by the streamer’s caption overlay in all four full frames we pulled, and the two cleanest reads disagreed on a middle digit (12,207 vs 12,707 for Dark) — exactly the kind of number our two-pass bar exists to catch. What is safe to say: Light led Dark by roughly 3:1 during the capture window. The precise totals stay unpublished until a clean frame lands.
- The LUMINOUS EGG event shop. A “New! LUMINOUS EGG — Limited Time!” panel runs a 13d 23h 56m 03s countdown with seven pet cards at 39% / 24% / 18% / 11% / 6.5% / [hover-tooltip occluded] / 1% — the 1% card is a LUMINOUS-branded blue manta, and the one name we can attribute letter-exact is Terra Snapper (a hover tooltip; its rarity line stayed blurred, so it is not published). Gem pricing: ⬡2,800 = 50 Eggs (with a struck-through ⬡5,959 above it), ⬡640 = 10, ⬡200 = 3, ⬡80 = 1.
- The Trail Shop tripled. The Sep 9 stall (Grey x1.5 / Green x2 / Blue x2.5) is now a nine-rung ladder: Golden Trail (Legendary) x3.5, Red Trail (Mythic) x4, Galaxy Trail (Cosmic) x5, Eternal Trail (Eternal) x10, Divine Trail (Divine) x14, and Moonbloom Trail (Divine) x20 Speed — Moonbloom priced in dual currency at $5Qa plus ⬡960, the same dual-pill pattern as the Blue Trail’s $75K + 29 gems.
- Pet Index grew to 104 — with a locked Angels & Demons tab. The footer counter now reads “Unlocked: 87/104” (two frames, letter-exact), and a new “Angels & Demons” tab — its art the same angel-castle-vs-demon-volcano split as the official NEW BIOME teaser — holds a 4x4 grid of ??? silhouette cards (rows: yellow x2 + red x2, purple x4, white x4) with detail panels reading ”??? / Legendary / ???” and ”??? / Cosmic / ???”. Tab rewards: $2.5B and +20M speed over a CLAIM! button. Sixteen silhouettes, zero names — that is the state of the record.
- Boss Mastery climbed to 15. Launch-day reads: Current Mastery 15, “1 Boss Kill = 1 Mastery”, Kills 15 “Mutated Riftborn Egg x1” Claimed, Kills 20 “Random Mutated Egg x1” locked, Kills 30 locked, and a Boss Tokens wallet at 925.
- A Secret King Snake Egg server event. Toast: “A Secret King Snake Egg spawned in Jungle 🐍!” with “Ben ✔ spawned a RARE EGG!” — the giant green snake-pattern egg showed “Egg Ready!” with a tooltip reading “70% Success Chance / Apply Mutation”, the highest Success Chance we have recorded on any Apply-Mutation prompt (the Growing Eggs baseline is 10%).
- Capture the Egg, two flavors, same night rule. Banner “CAPTURE THE EGG! ONI TIGER GO GET IT” with the toast “Oni Tiger Egg drops at night…” and Ben’s chat “WHO GOT THE ONI?!”; and “Ben started CAPTURE THE EGG! Gorilla King Egg is up for grabs! Hold it longest before night to keep it!” — both confirm the night-drop rule on capture eggs.
- Ben’s launch-day announcements. Chat, letter-exact: “We’re at 10 million!!!” (a concurrent-player milestone), “I started x2 EGG SIZE BOOST! Bigger eggs are spawning on the map!”, “That biome rotates every night”, and “We’re restarting servers, there are LOTS OF YOU!” — plus the event call “When the event starts, RUN AND COLLECT EVERYTHING AS FAST AS YOU CAN” / “More you get, better your rewards”.
- The Arch Angel cutscene. A white-and-gold armored angel with huge wings and a golden staff appears in a golden-flash cutscene — the visuals are frame-verified; the name “Arch Angel” comes from the streamer’s narration, so treat the name as transcript-level until a UI label confirms it.
HUD extras from the same day: “Friend Boost: +40%” (the +20% reading of Aug 2026 keeps scaling), a red “Pet inventory full! Go sell your pets!” warning, and a Settings panel new enough to note — “View Other’s Pets” / “View Your Pets” toggles (both OFF) beside Music/SFX sliders.
Post-Launch: The Angels Biome and the Fusion Charts (Sep 15)
Two days after the window closed, launch-week screens settle what the event left behind — and hand us a labeled leak of the next update.
- The light side stayed. The event’s white-and-gold map now persists as a biome labeled “Angels” — cloud waterfalls, gold-trimmed white architecture — and the toast “A Secret Pure Jellyfish Egg spawned in Angels!” anchors the name letter-exact (the trailing emoji does not survive 360p and is not published). That egg name is triple-stacked: Secret rarity + a Pure modifier + the Jellyfish species, our first spawn reading from the new biome. “THE RIFT” and “TRAILS SHOP” still stand in the lobby beside it.
- “ALL EGG RESET!” — a server-wide toast, caught twice in one session (letter-exact both times). What triggers it is not on screen; we log the toast, not a theory.
- Ben’s mystery line: “Why is sammy invading…hello???” (2-pass zoom). Who sammy is — a player, a pet, a teaser — is not in the frame.
- The Angels & Demons tab got its counter. A fresh save reads “0/16” (2-pass letter-exact — 16 silhouette cards confirmed), the global button reads “CLAIM ALL (14)!”, and selected-card rewards differ per card: ”??? / Legendary / ???” shows $22.5M + 3M speed, ”??? / Divine / ???” shows $500B + 600M speed. The 16 names remain unrevealed in every capture so far.
- The fusion charts — attributed, not confirmed. Community-shared charts circulating inside videos pair “ArchAngel + World Burner → Etherian” and “Pegasus + Skeleton Horse → Equinix” — matching this round’s narration word for word. These are player-made graphics, not official UI, and no live frame has shown either name on a label, so the pairings stay here, attributed, and out of our data tables. One in-video screenshot (also attributed) does show a real game prompt over the event’s light/dark ritual pads: “Divine egg ready! Place it on your plot. Hold a Light Divine or Eternal pet.”
- Leaked: the “Heaven” update. A new leak video shows official-style renders naming five heaven-themed pets letter-exact — Seraph Hound, Divine Guardian, Heavenly Orb, Solstice Dragon, Dawn Phoenix — against a white-columned cloud world, plus narration over a new heaven egg, a heaven boss and a heaven-themed island, and a claimed new “Diamond” pet rarity (narration only; no UI frame). The leak’s own build screenshots read “Unlocked: 46/88” — the same pre-release index as our earlier leak record, one more sign this is a private build. All of it stays leak-labeled: published as attributed prose, never merged into our live data.
Still unpublished from this round, and why: a “Whale Shark $18M/s” overhead tag (the pet’s body crosses the tag in every frame), the fusion names above (no UI confirmation), the $11B/s Pegasus figure (narration only), and “Diamond” (same). The readings that clear the bar are printed; the rest are listed.
The original leak record, clearly labeled, still holds for everything the official page does not cover. A leaked pre-release build capture — not live footage, not an announcement — shows the update the developer is building past Update 3. Everything below was read off that single leaked capture, two-pass letter-exact, and it is published here as a leak only: treat every line as upcoming and unconfirmed until it appears on a live screen, and note that none of it has been merged into our live data tables.
- The banner: “Light vs Darkness”. A notify-me event banner reads “☀️ LIGHT VS DARKNESS 🔥 — Something is fighting for control.” with flavor lines including “The skies are beginning to change. And something is breaking through…”, ”✨ One side has come to protect our world. 🔥 The other has come to take everything.” and “⚔️ THE BATTLE BEGINS SOON.” The date line reads “Sat, Sep 12 at 8:00 AM” — and a NEW BIOME teaser card beside it shows the two sides in one split image: sunlit cloud-waterfalls on the left, a volcanic red wasteland on the right.
- Two limited eggs on timers. A “New! MONSTER EGG — Limited Time!” shop panel with a 3d 16h countdown lists seven tiers — 39% / 24% / 18% / 11% / 6.5% / 0.5% plus a separate MECHA card at 1% — priced 3,499 gems (5,959 crossed out) for 50 eggs, 799 for 10, 249 for 3, 99 for 1. A “New! CELESTIAL EGG — Limited Time!” panel with a 5d 20h countdown lists 2% / 51.4% / 25% / 15% / 5% / 2.5% plus a MYTHICAL card at 0.001% (a three-headed galaxy dragon), same four price points. Both banner names, both tier ladders and all eight prices are letter-exact at zoom — from the leak build.
- Gifting is coming. The leak’s shop UI carries a gift button next to the close button, and the capture’s own caption reads “Adding gifting to steal an egg game” — a gifting feature in the works.
- A Cherry Blossom biome label floats over a torii-gate zone in the leak build — matching the Cherry Blossom biome our live captures already verify on request cards.
- The leak build’s Pet Index reads 46/88 — a smaller roster than our live record, one more sign this is an older/private build. Its Prehistoric tab (7/8) shows Bronto, Tralaledon, TRex and Mosasaurus with the detail card reading “Mosasaurus / Eternal / $180M/s”, and an unrevealed ”??? / Divine / ???” silhouette sits in another tab. Published as leak-build trivia, not live data — our live Mosasaurus record is here.
That is the full leak record. The banner date it carried — Sep 12 — is now superseded by the official Sep 13-14 window above, which is exactly how this works: the leak got the frame right about an event existing and wrong about the details, and the official page is what settles the details. Everything else above stays leak-only and gets re-verified live before it moves anywhere near our data tables.
How to Prepare Before the Rifts Open
The teaser text promises the unknown, but preparation is the part you control, and none of it changes for a special event.
| Prep Step | What to Do | Why It Pays During an Event |
|---|---|---|
| Bank eggs | Hold unhatched eggs before logging off | Offline hatching keeps volume building while the event runs |
| Raise Speed | Treadmill sessions toward the next milestone | New event content usually spawns in the far biomes first |
| Stack money | Let high-tier pets run and collect offline earnings | Event eggs and rerolls historically cost cash up front |
| Know the admin pattern | Treat Admin Abuse as a bonus window | Admin events rain free eggs and chaos — be online to catch it |
The two systems that matter most are the ones the event will stress. Speed decides whether you can reach whatever spawns inside or beyond the rifts, which our Speed guide covers in depth. And because Admin Abuse windows historically flood servers with spawns, the five-minute rare egg cycle described in our rare eggs guide is the rhythm to play on while the event is live.
Live Rift Readings: Verified Sep 6-9
The capture round this page promised happened — and then it happened again, and again. Across Sep 6-9 we recorded nineteen independent Rift Update gameplay videos, and every reading below passed our two-pass standard: first read at full frame, then re-read from a cropped zoom of the same extracted frame, published only where both passes agree letter for letter. Where a reading never cleared that bar, it is listed in what we still refuse to claim instead of being printed as fact.
The Rift Sits in the Lobby
The rift is not a portal you enter — it is a structure you feed. On live screens it stands in the lobby as a purple crystalline shard formation (matching the official key art), under a THE RIFT header inside the marked SAFE ZONE. The developer’s own captions, read verbatim off the videos: “Exchange animals into the Rift to unlock exclusive eggs!!”, “IT’s ALWAYS there! So keep bringing animals to The Rift”, and “If you’ve finished it, you have The Rift now in lobby” — meaning the structure persists after the event window, so the system below is permanent content, not a weekend-only mode.
One more live detail: servers reset on a cycle, and we caught the white-screen transition on camera alongside the caption “We’re getting close to all servers resetting”. Anything you are mid-way through a rift set on should be finished before a reset hits.
The Sacrifice System: How the Rift Takes Animals
The rift panel asks for three animals per set — its heading reads “Select Pets to Sacrifice!” letter-exact. It shows what is still owed as “3 Pets Left”, “2 Pets Left” and “1 Pet Left”; each requested species has an Add button with a 0/1 counter that becomes a red Return button once filled; and when all three cards are filled, the counter is replaced by a green SACRIFICE button. The specific requests rotate per server — we observed over a dozen distinct request sets across our capture rounds, and one Sep 7 session alone walked through four different sets (Centapede + Cosmic Gorilla + Red Panda, then Crustacia + Snowy Owl + Red Panda, then Centapede + Koi + Snowy Owl, then Crane + Snowy Owl + Mantaris) — so the board reshuffles while you are standing there. The Rotation Chances line ties the sets to the three rift eggs below: Riftborn 45% / Riftbeasts 35% / Shattered Rift 20%, with the active banner marked (Now) — a label that also prints as (New): the Shattered Rift row read (Now) on a Sep 7 capture and (New) on Sep 8, same meaning, both published as read. A Rotates in timer has been read at 22m 13s, 25m 33s, 28m 23s, 29m 20s, 36m 35s, 51m 45s, 52m 14s, 54m 06s, 1h 08m, 1h 10m, 1h 35m, 2h 09m, 2h 30m, 2h 33m, 2h 36m, 2h 48m, 2h 58m, 2h 59m and — one frame before a rotation — 7s, then 1s. And the newest round caught the reset itself: the timer read 7s, then 1s, the card flipped to “Rotates in: 2h 59m”, and the re-roll landed Riftborn again — the 45% outcome, self-consistent with the chances table. That is the first on-camera rotation reset; 2h 59m ties the longest reading on record and is a full-cycle candidate, but the cycle rule still does not follow from stills, so we do not model it.
The species the rift actually asked for, every one letter-exact on a request card:
| Requested Animal | Rarity Label | Found In (read on card) |
|---|---|---|
| Lava frog | Epic | Volcano |
| Walrus | Epic | Snow |
| Swordfish | Epic | Abyss Ocean |
| Penguin | Rare | Snow |
| Lava Gecko | Rare | Volcano |
| Chimpanzee | Rare | Jungle |
| Whale Shark | Cosmic | Abyss Ocean |
| Dodo | Rare | Prehistoric |
| Pterodactyl | Legendary | Prehistoric |
| Spideron | Legendary | Titan Temple |
| Mantaris | Cosmic | Titan Temple |
| Crustacia | Legendary | Titan Temple |
| Bladehide | Mythic | Titan Temple |
| Salamander | Legendary | Cherry Blossom |
| Snowy Owl | Cosmic | Cherry Blossom |
| Ankylosaurus | Mythic | Prehistoric |
| Crane | Epic | Cherry Blossom |
| Red Panda | Mythic | Cherry Blossom |
| Parrotfish | Rare | Abyss Ocean |
| Flaming Bull | Legendary | Volcano |
| Mammoth | Mythic | Snow |
| Polar Bear | Legendary | Snow |
| Shark | Legendary | Abyss Ocean |
| Orca | Mythic | Abyss Ocean |
| Chillin Chilli | Mythic | Volcano |
| Centapede | Epic | Cosmic |
| Cosmic Gorilla | Mythic | — |
| Koi | Cosmic | Cherry Blossom |
The newest round added the last three rows — Centapede (Epic, Cosmic), the board’s first Cosmic found-in (a tile-level “Centspade” first guess corrected by zoom), Koi (Cosmic, Cherry Blossom) and Cosmic Gorilla (Mythic, biome line not in frame) — taking the verified roster to 28 species. The Orca row is also our first direct rarity conflict on a request card: the pet’s earlier overhead tag read Royal, this card reads Mythic, both letter-exact at zoom — both published as read, unresolved. One round’s board held five Lava Iguana copies weighted 259Kg / 276Kg / 295Kg / 1,235Kg / 22,732Kg (all five letter-exact at zoom) — the clearest proof yet that rift-pet weights are per-animal, spanning two orders of magnitude within one species on one board. The same story now exists on the egg side: an inventory grid of Shattered Rift Eggs read per-egg weights 10,669 / 84,087 / 8,545 / 7,283 / 8,159 / 8,407 / 8,764 / 46,833 Kg, all letter-exact at zoom (the 84,087 confirmed over a 94,087 alternative at 6x).
The flow has failure states, and we captured them verbatim: sacrificing with an unclaimed reward on the table throws “Claim your last Rift reward first”, and pressing Add for a species you have no spare of throws “You have no spare Bladehide to offer”. Both are letter-exact off Sep 9 frames.
Two practical notes. First, the requests pull from mid-to-high rarities you probably do not keep spares of — Mythic and Cosmic animals are worth banking before you feed them in, and the roster reaches across nine biomes, from Snow to Cosmic. Second, the panel tracks a PITY counter — we watched the Shattered counter move 0/50 → 4/50, later sit at 22/50, and in the newest session climb 45/50 → 48/50 before reading 1/50 — a reset whose cause (a roll paying out, or the rotation) is not on camera — while the Riftborn counter read 0/50 fresh, 4/50 in another session, 5/50 and 27/50 in two more, then climb 18/50 → 34/50 — and a REROLL action that started (2 free), then priced at ⬡40 in one session and ⬡49 in another — so the free rerolls are per-session, and the paid price is not constant either.
The Rift Egg Rotation and Its Chances
The rift’s Current Egg header cycles through three named banners — Riftborn Banner, the Riftbeasts card (printed as both Riftbeasts Egg and Riftbeasts Banner across captures) and Shattered Rift Banner — with the active one marked (Now) on the Rotation Chances line. We have read all three banners off live screens, and the timers under them (22m 13s up to 2h 59m) tell you a rotation is coming without telling you the rule behind it. All fifteen odds-and-income slots below are letter-exact from the chances panels, re-verified across three capture rounds:
Riftborn Egg — two dated income states; both still surface across sessions
| Slot Chance | Income (through Sep 8) | Income (Sep 9 retune state) | Named pet on tooltip |
|---|---|---|---|
| 45% | $11K/s | $71K/s | — |
| 36% | $50K/s | $50K/s | — |
| 15% | $585K/s | $585K/s | — |
| 4% | $15M/s | $15M/s | Wendigo (Secret) — both states |
| 0.5% | $500M/s | $500M/s | World Eater (Eternal) — both states |
Riftbeasts Egg
| Slot Chance | Income | Named pet on tooltip |
|---|---|---|
| 45% | $30K/s | — |
| 36% | $220K/s | — |
| 15% | $2.2M/s | — |
| 4% | $60M/s | — |
| 0.5% | $900M/s | — |
Shattered Rift Banner
| Slot Chance | Income | Named pet on tooltip |
|---|---|---|
| 45% | $450K/s | — |
| 36% | $8M/s | — |
| 15% | $145M/s | Shardling (Mythic) |
| 4% | $800M/s | Shattered Drake (Eternal) |
| 0.5% | $3.5B/s | Shattered Colossus (Divine) |
Three verification notes, because all three matter:
- The Riftborn 45% slot’s income was retuned mid-window — and only that. Our first pass printed the 45% slot at $11K/s and we corrected it to $71K/s off two Sep 9 zooms. Then this round’s freshly mined Sep 6 upload printed $11K/s again — with its 0.5% tooltip naming World Eater (Eternal). Three $11K/s readings across three days versus two $71K/s readings on Sep 9 is not a misread; it is a patch. The retune touched exactly one thing — the 45% slot’s income (roughly 6.5x up) — while the four lower rungs read letter-identical in every capture, pets included. Both dated states are tabled above, and a Sep 8 frame printing $11K/s is what pins the change to the Sep 8-9 window. The newest round then flipped it back: two further Sep 9-session videos re-read the 45% slot at $11K/s, both zooms letter-exact with the four lower rungs identical. Both values now stand as session-variable readings — $11K/s and $71K/s, same day, same table, lower rungs constant — and we model no rule for which one a given session serves.
- A correction we published the same day: the slot pets never swapped. Our previous revision briefly reported the 0.5% tooltip “changing” from World Eater to Wendigo after the retune. This round’s fuller frames — cursor-anchored tooltips plus slot art inside a single 45%-$11K/s session — show Wendigo (Secret) is and was the 4% slot’s pet and World Eater (Eternal) is and was the 0.5% slot’s pet. The earlier read was a tooltip-hover trap: the Wendigo box anchors at the 4% row and physically overlaps the 0.5% row’s income line, so at certain cursor positions it looks like the 0.5% row’s tooltip. On this wiki a correction ships the day the evidence lands, not quietly.
- The Shattered 15% slot is $145M/s, not $1.45M/s. Our first full-frame pass misread it as $1.45M/s — which would have placed it below the $8M tier above it, an impossibility on a ladder that ascends. The zoom pass, and the same panel at larger scale in a second video, both read $145M/s.
- The ×4 boost proof. During a live ×4 EARNINGS BOOST, the same Shattered Rift panel read $1.8M / $32M / $580M / $3.2B / $14B — each slot exactly four times its base value. That five-slot exact match is the strongest internal corroboration we have that the base numbers above are correct, and it is why boosted-tick readings never get published as base income anywhere on this wiki.
- A Sep 7 double-read — and a name-neighbor caution. One Sep 7 session read the full Shattered ladder letter-exact twice, with both tooltips cursor-anchored on their slots (Shattered Drake / Eternal at 4%, Shattered Colossus / Divine at 0.5%) — the ladder was stable a day before our first capture of it. Separately, the Pet Index’s Limited tab lists Shardwing (Secret) with a detail panel reading $145M/s — the same number as the 15% slot’s Shardling (Mythic) tooltip, under a different name. Both are letter-exact readings and both stand; whether they are one family is not decidable from stills, so we publish both and reconcile nothing.
Six of the fifteen slots now have a named pet. On the Riftborn table, the 4% row raises a Wendigo / Secret tooltip (a hatched one’s overhead tag read “Secret / Wendigo / $4M/s”, and a second tag read $11M/s — both zoom-passed, tabled in our pet tier list), and the 0.5% row names World Eater (Eternal) — a tooltip we caught overlapping the row it names, with that video’s own chat reading ‘the world eater… 0.5%… 500 million a second’ at the same moment, and the species’ own hatched tag reading “Eternal / World Eater / $438M/s”. Both assignments held in both dated states of the table — see the correction note above for the tooltip trap that briefly said otherwise. The Shattered 0.5% row names Shattered Colossus (Divine). And the Riftbeasts 36% row’s tooltip reads Riftwing — its rarity line blurred in every frame, so it stays unpublished here (a fan ranking lists Riftwing as Mythic at $220K/s, matching the slot value, but fan charts are corroboration on this wiki, never game data). The Riftbeasts 0.5% pet is still unnamed on our record.
The set’s reward, when completed: the toast “You got a Secret Rift Egg!” — the Secret Rift Egg is what the sacrifice pays out, on top of the rotation chances. A second phrasing surfaced in the newest round: “A Rift Egg joins your eggs!” (letter-exact across two frames of one video) — so the completion toast has at least two wordings in the wild.
The Boss Battle Event (Also New)
The update shipped a second system the announcement never mentioned. The intro banner reads “Welcome to our first ever BOSS BATTLE EVENT”, and the spawn banner counts down — read at “Abyss Overlord is spawning in: 5” and, in a later session, “…spawning in: 3”.
The boss’s max HP is not a fixed number. Our Sep 8 capture read 27,300 in four independent videos, and we captured that fight’s full arc — 23,889 HP at Time Left 09:47, draining to 2,350 at 06:00. But the Sep 9 round read four different max values off four different sessions: 19,600, 13,500, 9,800 and 7,800, each letter-exact at the top of its health bar — and the latest sweep (four more videos, uploaded Sep 6-9) added a new low end, 7,000, read as 4075/7000 and twice at 1400/7000 on a Sep 6 upload, plus a second 9,800 video draining 8475 → 4500 → 3600 → 3200. The newest round re-confirmed 9,800 a third time — 7150/9800 at Time Left 04:28, letter-exact at zoom. The newest round stretched the spread in both directions: a meteor-type boss fight’s bar read 6 / 20 HP at Time Left 04:49 — the lowest max on record by three orders of magnitude — and another fight opened at 575 / 15,750 at 03:08, a fresh value. Whether every low-HP fight is Abyss Overlord is exactly what stills cannot answer; the boss-event HP readings now span 20 to 27,300, published as read. One 19,600-HP fight drained 19,600 → 18,250 → 8,000 → 6,500 → 3,900 → 2,100 between Time Left 09:08 and 07:55; a 13,500 fight went 13,500 → 8,075 → 2,350 → 750. We publish the spread as read and offer no scaling theory — what the stills support is that Abyss Overlord’s HP pool varies session to session, so a guide quoting one number as the boss HP is already out of date. Mid-fight, the banner “A Rift has spawned!” appeared in three of the four Sep 8 videos, tying the boss event back to the rift system.
The progression UI has now been captured three times, and we present the views without forcing them into one model. The Sep 8 capture read a Mastery ladder at Kills 3 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 with Boss Tokens milestones at 0 / 800 / 1,200, and the Boss Shop pricing four items at ⬡175, ⬡225, ⬡200, ⬡400. The Sep 9 capture caught the full Boss Mastery panel flat on screen: Boss Tokens 0, Current Mastery 0, the rule line “1 Boss Kill = 1 Mastery”, a next-reward marker reading “3 more Mastery” beside a Riftborn Egg x1 icon, and three reward rows — Kills 15 → Mutated Riftborn Egg x1, Kills 20 → Random Mutated Egg x1, Kills 30 → Random Mutated Egg x1 — all stamped Locked in that frame. The Kills 30 row is the one that was cut off at the screen edge in every Sep 8 capture; it is now letter-exact. A third capture caught the panel mid-run: Current Mastery 2, Boss Tokens 2,225 — the largest purse on record — with the ladder’s low rows (Kills 3 → Riftborn Egg x1, Kills 5 → Permanent Token Boost +50%, Kills 10 → Riftbeasts Egg x1) all stamped Locked, and the shop tab re-verifying all four prices by zoom, 2x Treadmill Booster 10m ⬡200 included. The panel has two views — Mastery and Shop — under one Boss Mastery header sharing the token purse. A fourth capture, from the same newest round, caught the ladder paying out: Current Mastery 3, “Next Reward: 2 more Mastery”, the Kills 3 → Riftborn Egg x1 row stamped Claimed — the first claimed state on record, direct evidence that kills convert into mastery rewards — with Kills 5 → Permanent Token Boost +50% and Kills 10 → Riftbeasts Egg x1 still Locked, and the toast “Boss Mastery reward claimed!” on screen. The same session’s Boss Tokens purse read 3,600 — the new high-water mark, above 2,225 — and the shop tab re-verified all four prices for the fifth time. The newest round re-verified them a sixth time, letter-exact, with the purse at 2,625. The latest round then pushed the purse to five figures: two Sep 7 sessions read 16,800 and, later, 17,400 Boss Tokens — the new high-water marks — with the four prices re-verified a sixth and seventh time, and the Shop view carrying a gold Boss Mastery button (letter-exact). The panel’s newest capture, from a Sep 9 session, caught a late-stage run: Current Mastery 22, “Next Reward 8 more Mastery”, with Kills 15 → Mutated Riftborn Egg x1 and Kills 20 → Random Mutated Egg x1 both stamped Claimed — the first Claimed states at those tiers, more direct evidence that kills convert into mastery rewards — and Kills 30 → Random Mutated Egg x1 still Locked. The boss itself becomes a pet: the Secret Abyss Overlord card read $10M/s on Sep 8, and a Sep 9 overhead tag on the same species read $1.2M/s — we publish both, the spread matching the HP spread above rather than either number being wrong.
The Trail Shop (Also New)
The update quietly shipped a third system. Next to The Rift stands a stall under a TRAILS SHOP world sign (letter-exact), and its panel reads “Trail Shop” with three trail rows, every word two-pass verified:
| Trail | Rarity | Effect | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grey Trail | Common | x1.5 Speed | Equip (owned) |
| Green Trail | Uncommon | x2 Speed | Equip (owned) |
| Blue Trail | Rare | x2.5 Speed | $75K + 29 gems |
The Blue row prices in two currencies at once — $75K cash plus 29 of the purple-gem currency (the icon matches the Boss Tokens crystal; the exact wallet is not confirmable from the frame). A FREE! chest stands beside the counter. Trails stacking multiplicative Speed on top of the treadmill system makes them a cheap early multiplier — the Blue trail’s x2.5 rivals a mid-tier treadmill milestone for a fraction of the grind. Our Speed guide covers how the two stack.
What the Developer Confirmed On Screen
The Sep 9 round caught the developer’s own chat working in public servers, and three lines cleared the zoom pass:
- “Every 30 minutes btw a new egg spawns for the rift, so we have 15 TOTAL NEW ANIMALS!” — posted by Ben ✓ in a live server. Two facts land at once: rift-exclusive animals spawn on a 30-minute clock, and the Rift Update added 15 of them. (Our first pass at this line, at contact-sheet scale, seemed to read “16 TOTAL” — the letter-exact zoom says 15. This is exactly why sheet-scale sightings never publish on this wiki.)
- “ben ✓ spawned a RARE EGG!” — the admin-spawn announcement, seen three times in one server, each followed by a named egg banner in the chat feed: “A Golden Eternal Lava Dragon Egg spawned in Volcano 😫!”, “A Golden Eternal Gorilla King Egg spawned in Titan Temple 🗿!” and “A Bloom Secret Mutant Shark Egg spawned in Titan Temple 🗿!” — all three letter-exact at zoom.
- “A Rift has spawned in Volcano! ALL EGG RESET!” — the server-wide banner when a rift lands in a biome: the field eggs wipe and reroll. Plan your routes around it rather than getting wiped by it. The newest round added a second biome variant, letter-exact at zoom: “A Rift has spawned in Cosmic! ALL EGG RESET!”.
Mutation Prefixes Stacked Further in the Sep 9 Captures
The Sep 8 captures caught the mutation system live: an [E] 10% Apply Mutation interaction prompt, a Mutation Consumable priced ⬡400, and four prefixes in the wild — Fractured, Silver, Golden, Bloom — attached to pets like Fractured Oni Tiger and Silver Shardwing in the rift biomes. Sep 9 and the sweep after it extended the system further:
- Two prefixes on one animal. An equip tag reading “Parasite + Fractured Mosasaurus / 5,960.558Kg / Eternal / $20.2B/s” is the first double-mutation pet on our record — Parasite and Fractured stacked on a single Eternal. At $20.2B/s it is also the highest-income Mosasaurus variant verified. The newest round added a second: “Secret / Silver + Spirit Bloom TRex / $150M/s” — Silver and Spirit Bloom joined with a literal + on one Secret, confirming the double-mutation tag has a house style, not a one-off.
- Two prefixes on one egg. The spawn banners above name double-prefix eggs: Golden + Eternal (Golden Eternal Lava Dragon Egg, Golden Eternal Gorilla King Egg) and Bloom + Secret (Bloom Secret Mutant Shark Egg). The prefix system composes, and it composes on the egg level before hatch, not just on the pet level after.
- A new Silver reading. Silver Gorilla King (Eternal) at $7.7B/s — the new top of the Gorilla King family, whose base form verified at $1.8B–$3.3B/s. The family-by-family breakdown lives in the Eternal pets guide.
- A new Fractured top — and a failed roll. The latest sweep read Fractured Gorilla King (Eternal) at $8.8B/s, taking the family’s crown from the Silver ($1.8B → $3.3B → $7.7B Silver → $8.8B Fractured). The same round also caught the mutation roll failing: a consumed Mutation Consumable raised the toast “The consumable fizzle…” (the line’s tail cut at the frame edge — the newest sweep completed it letter-exact as “The consumable fizzled…”). And mutation lands on the egg, not the pet — a mutated egg shows a changed shell and carries its own hatch timer, one read at Egg 7h 46m.
Full prefix coverage lives in the pets tier list as each variant verifies.
What We Still Refuse to Claim
Live capture filled most of this page, and the discipline still applies. These never cleared the two-pass bar, so they are not in the tables above:
- The “Update 3 RIFT IS HERE!!” toast — visible on a contact sheet, but the exact frame never landed for a zoom pass.
- Golden / Silver Abyss Overlord overhead tags — sheet-level sightings only; no zoom confirms them.
- The Wendigo tag’s blue prefix line — the hatched Wendigo’s overhead tag carries an extra occluded blue line under “Secret”; it never resolved at zoom, so whatever prefix it holds stays unpublished.
- A “Spirit Bloom Gorilla King” at $4.4B/s — spoken in one video’s commentary, never shown on a screen. Commentary alone never verifies here.
- Dev chat tactical lines (“those crystals give it power…”, “that hand is its weakness…”) — readable at sheet scale in one video, but never flat enough for a letter-exact zoom. Plausible boss mechanics, unconfirmed until a frame lands.
- X2 boost reward statuses in the Boss Battle — one frame showed boost-status lines under the boss HUD; the crop missed the region and no second frame exists.
- Pet names at every other slot — exactly six tooltips have cleared zoom across all three eggs: Shardling (Mythic), Shattered Drake (Eternal), Shattered Colossus (Divine), Wendigo (Secret), World Eater (Eternal) and Riftwing (rarity line blurred). Every other slot is income-only on our record.
- A golden + fractured tiger — spoken in one video’s commentary (“golden plus fractured only tiger”), never shown on a screen. Commentary alone never verifies here.
- Crystal HP numbers — the small health values on the boss crystals that circulate in video captions are the creators’ own on-screen annotations, not game UI. Not game data; not published.
- A giant crowned Gorilla King at a rift portal — one sheet-scale frame in the latest sweep, never flat enough for a zoom. A lead for a future round, nothing more.
- The “Ventinal” overhead tag’s income — the name and its Cosmic prefix are letter-exact, but the middle digit of “$4?2K/s” sits occluded behind the pet in every frame we hold. Income stays unpublished until a clean frame lands.
- A “$1.8B/s” pet with no name in frame — one Sep 9 capture shows a Divine-scale overhead tag on a white/grey animal whose name never enters the frame. Income without a species is not pet data; not published.
- The Celestial leak’s 1-egg price sub-label — the leak build’s 99-gem button shows an odd “0.001%” sub-line instead of “1 Egg”; unreadable enough at zoom that we publish the four prices but not that label.
- Two Shattered Rift Egg weight labels — the Sep 7 inventory grid held ten eggs; eight weights cleared the zoom pass and two did not: one read “31,0xxKg” (a digit occluded) and the other sat behind a “Your pen is Full!” toast. Eight published, two not.
- The updates-channel message’s last line — “We are also working on Admin abuse for the next wee…” truncates under the video’s caption overlay; the wording past that point is not on our record.
FAQ
When did the Rifts Are Opening update go live?
The Roblox event page listed Saturday, Sep 5, 6:00 PM through Sunday, Sep 6, 6:00 PM, and the official Discord event “Update 3 & Admin Abuse” pinned Sun Sep 6th · 01:00 — the same window in your local time zone. The window has passed, and our Sep 8 captures confirm the rift stayed: the structure is permanent lobby content, and the developer’s own caption says to keep bringing animals to it.
What is Update 3 in Steal An Egg?
The community numbering for the Rifts Are Opening update, announced by the developer alongside the game’s third Admin Abuse event. Live screens show it delivered two systems: The Rift (sacrifice animals into request sets, rotate three exclusive eggs, chase a Secret Rift Egg) and the Boss Battle Event (Abyss Overlord with server-varying HP between 20 and 27,300 so far, Boss Tokens, a Boss Shop, and a Kills-based Boss Mastery ladder). The trade UI remains a leak in our record.
How do the rift egg odds work?
The rift panel publishes them itself: rotation chances of Riftborn 45% / Riftbeasts 35% / Shattered Rift 20% with the active banner marked (Now), and each egg’s own panel lists five income slots (top slot 0.5%). The full tables are in the rotation section above — all fifteen slots letter-exact, with a ×4 boost cross-check.
What is the Wendigo?
The named Secret pet on the Riftborn table’s 4% slot ($15M/s), verified two ways: the chances-panel tooltip reads “Wendigo / Secret” — cursor-anchored at the 4% row — and a hatched one’s overhead tags read “Secret / Wendigo / $4M/s” and $11M/s. All passed the zoom pass on Sep 9. Its neighborhood matters: the 0.5% top slot names World Eater (Eternal), and the two assignments held in both dated states of the table. (An earlier revision of this page briefly placed Wendigo on the 0.5% slot — a tooltip-hover misread, corrected above the day the fuller frames landed.) The 0.5% slot lists $500M/s while World Eater’s own tag lists $438M/s; we publish both numbers as read and do not reconcile them, because the panels measure different things and the stills do not say what.
When is the Light vs Darkness event?
The official in-game event page reads Sun, Sep 13, 1:00 AM - Mon, Sep 14, 1:00 AM, with 11.9M interested — an official announcement, letter-exact off a Sep 9 capture. It supersedes the “Sat, Sep 12, 8:00 AM” date that circulated on a leaked pre-release build. Expect your own client to render the window in your local time zone. It shipped on schedule: launch-day readings (Sep 13) are tabled above — Pick A Side team battle with ring milestones at 100/800/1500, a LUMINOUS EGG shop on a 13-day countdown, the Trail Shop ladder out to x20 Speed, and a locked Angels & Demons Pet Index tab with sixteen unnamed silhouettes.
What should I do to prepare for the rifts?
Bank spare mid-to-high rarity animals — the verified request roster now spans 28 species from Rare to Cosmic across nine biomes (tabled above), and the developer confirmed new rift animals spawn on a 30-minute clock. Keep a PITY eye at 50 and spend the free REROLLs before they price at ⬡40–⬡49. Then be online for the Boss Battle Event: even the 27,300-HP fights drain in roughly ten minutes with the whole server hitting them.
Will this page get updated with what was in the event?
It has been, eight times — the live readings above are dated Sep 6 through Sep 15, two-pass verified off thirty independent videos plus the developer’s own trailer. Ongoing changes (rotation sets, new request species, boss tuning, and mid-week table retunes like the Riftborn one) get the same treatment as our captures verify them — corrections included, the same day the evidence lands.
TL;DR
Rifts Are Opening is Steal An Egg’s Update 3, announced for Sep 5-6 alongside the game’s third Admin Abuse — and it is live content now, verified off Sep 6-9 screens across twenty-three independent videos. The Rift stands permanently in the lobby: feed it three animals per request set (28 verified species from Lava frog to Koi, tabled above), fill all three cards to reach the green SACRIFICE button, reroll with free REROLLs before they cost ⬡40-⬡49, and rotate through Riftborn Banner 45% / Riftbeasts Egg 35% / Shattered Rift Banner 20% — a rotation reset was caught on camera flipping to a fresh 2h 59m timer and re-landing Riftborn, and the Shattered PITY counter was watched climbing 45/50 → 48/50 before resetting to 1/50. The Shattered table tops at $3.5B/s (Shattered Colossus, Divine); the Riftborn table’s 45% income is session-variable — read at both $11K/s and $71K/s across Sep 9 sessions, lower rungs constant, slot pets never moved: Wendigo (Secret) at 4%, World Eater (Eternal) at 0.5%; and the Riftbeasts 36% row names Riftwing; completing a set pays a Secret Rift Egg (toast wordings vary). The update also shipped the game’s first BOSS BATTLE EVENT — the boss’s max HP varies by server (20 to 27,300 read so far; 9,800 now confirmed in three videos), the Boss Mastery panel reads “1 Boss Kill = 1 Mastery” with Claimed rows at Kills 3, 15 and 20 proving the payout, the purse has been read as high as 17,400 Boss Tokens, and the boss becomes a Secret pet read at $1.2M/s-$10M/s — and a Trail Shop (Grey x1.5 / Green x2 / Blue x2.5 Speed, Blue at $75K + 29 gems). The same rounds verified double-prefix content — Golden Eternal and Bloom Secret eggs, and double-mutation pets Parasite + Fractured Mosasaurus at $20.2B/s and Silver + Spirit Bloom TRex at $150M/s — plus a new family top, Fractured Gorilla King at $8.8B/s. Ahead of it all, Light vs Darkness went live on schedule (Sep 13, 1:00 AM - Sep 14, 1:00 AM, announced at 11.9M interested — superseding the leaked pre-release build’s Sep 12 date, whose MONSTER and CELESTIAL egg tables and gifting button stay labeled as leak). Launch day verified: a Pick A Side Light-vs-Dark team battle flown with white wings for ring milestones at 100/800/1500 (we publish no precise team score — every frame had the digits occluded; Light led roughly 3:1 in our captures), a LUMINOUS EGG shop on a 13-day countdown (odds 39/24/18/11/6.5/occluded/1%, ⬡2,800/640/200/80 for 50/10/3/1 eggs), the Trail Shop ladder out to Moonbloom x20 Speed at $5Qa + ⬡960, the Pet Index at 87/104 with a locked Angels & Demons tab, Boss Mastery 15 with 925 Boss Tokens banked, a Secret King Snake Egg event whose Apply-Mutation tooltip reads 70% Success Chance, and Ben’s 10 million concurrent milestone. Post-launch (Sep 15): the light side persists as the new Angels biome — first spawn toast “A Secret Pure Jellyfish Egg spawned in Angels!” — the A&D tab counter reads 0/16, a server toast reads ALL EGG RESET!, and community fusion charts (attributed, unconfirmed) pair ArchAngel + World Burner → Etherian. A labeled Heaven update leak names Seraph Hound, Divine Guardian, Heavenly Orb, Solstice Dragon and Dawn Phoenix. The trade UI is still just a leak too. Every number above is letter-exact from two-pass zooms; the readings that never cleared that bar are listed, not printed.
